I just don’t think she specifically intended to go about it this way.

"Fame Monster" is attacking India.

Lady Gaga and her team have launched a formal strategy to spread her brand in the booming, Bollywood-crazed India market, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The team has tapped the founders of Desi Hits, a New York-based media company that produces and distributes entertainment content targeted at South Asians all over the world, to help build her brand, particularly in India but also in the large South Asian diaspora.

"The reason I'm going to India now is because I can," said Lady Gaga, who has the nickname "Fame Monster" because of her candid admission of wanting to spread her music and name across the globe.

"I didn't have the money or the resources before to travel and bring all of my things with me and reach an entire new territory of fans."

The push into India is part of the massive marketing and social-media machine the Lady Gaga team has created around the release of her third album, "Born This Way."

The campaign includes partnerships with companies including Starbucks Corp. and online giveaways of remixes, videos and tracks. It has inspired companies such as Amazon.com Inc. and Best Buy Co. to find creative ways to leverage the popularity of Gaga's music to their benefit.

For example, Amazon.com sold the album for just 99 cents to promote its new online music storage service, a move that led to such strong demand that Amazon's servers were overloaded.

Lady Gaga is only the latest US entertainer who have turned to Desihits to help crack the India market. Others include Britney Spears, 50 Cent, Akon and Enrique Iglesias. India is an appealing target for entertainers, as it has 700 million people under the age of 30.

Desi Hits, which also has offices in the UK and India, promotes artists' music on Desihits.com, links them with influential producers and DJs, and helps de-mystify the commercial culture for the artists and their record labels.

Desi Hits co-founder Anjula Acharia-Bath said that unlike in the US, India's mass music industry is largely driven by the film industry, so the hit songs of the day are predominantly from the mainstream movies. If an international artist wants to penetrate 'mass' pop culture, she said, navigating Bollywood is essential.

Acharia-Bath arranged for Lady Gaga's hit single "Born This Way" to be remixed by two sets of producers: The Bollywood team of Salim and Sulaiman and Culture Shock, a Canada-based band and production team.

Those two remixes were released last month and are available only as videos on YouTube and Desihits.com. This week, two more South Asian-influenced remixes of her song "Judas" -- mixed by Salim and Sulaiman and another popular producer, Panjabi MC -- were also released on Desihits.com.

Desihits.com attracts 1.5 million unique visitors a month, mainly youths and young adults. The website generates about a half million impressions of its content a day on Facebook, and reaches a total audience of 20 million people across the web, mobile and television platforms each month.

Fruit Corso Festival of Netherlands

Every year on the 11th, 12th and 13th of September, a festival called "Fruit Corso (means Fruit Parade)" is held to celebrate the harvest of the Fruit of all the Villages in Tiel, Netherlands.
It includes a Parade of Cars which are decorated with Fruits. A Unique Event whereby Fruits, Vegetables and Seeds are used to make Beautiful Floats.

The Fruitcorso annually attracts the attention of more than 100.000 visitors 

and is thereby one of Netherlands biggest events.

The Fruitcorso has, besides the improvement of the tourism in this area

a very important social and cultural function.

History

The godfathers of the Fruitcorso Tiel are Bernhard Bruggeman and Joop van Hesteren.

The first Fruitcorso took place in 1961 and nine villages in this region attended.

Soon it became a matter of honour for all the villages in the surrounding of Tiel to make a float as well.

They established Corso Associations and the designers tried really hard to make the best design.

Soon the Fruitcorso has developed itself to a big and unique event

by which the participants try to take the wind of each other’s sails.

Explanation Foundation 4-Stromenland

Foundation 4-stromenland is an organisation directed by volunteers with a relatively small board.

The different tasks are divided within the board.

It is clear that an event like the Fruitcorso cannot be organised by such a small group of people.

Therefore almost all board members have formed their own committee, who, under their responsibility, perform some tasks.

These tasks partly exist of executive activities but also of policy preparation activities which are mainly focussed on following the strategy on the medium term.

There are within the Foundation 4-Stromenland, apart from about 2.000 of floats builders, several dozens of volunteers active.

Goal

The statuary goal of the Foundation 4-Stromenland is the promotion of the tourism in the ‘Rivierengebied’ (river area) on non-profit base.

To achieve this goal, the Fruitcorso is organised annually. The Fruitcorso has, except for this formal goal, also an important social function. There is a major involvement of the floats builders.

The board has therefore decided to keep the amount of floats the same or preferably increase it. This is also to make sure that there will be enough volunteers to organise the Fruitcorso in the future.

To guarantee the commercial basis and the financial continuity of the Fruitcorso on the long term the number of corso teams must be kept the same and the aim is to attract more visitors.

Arora Khan was born in Mumbai to a Punjabi Sikh father, Anil Arora, and a Malayali Catholic mother, Joyce Polycarp. Her father worked in the Merchant Navy.
She completed her secondary education at Swami Vivekanand School in Chembur (Mumbai). Her aunt Grace Polycarp was the principal of the school. She is also an alumnus of the Holy Cross High School Thane where she had studied until ninth grade. She lived in Borla Society, opposite Basant Talkies before starting her modeling career.

Arora Khan was selected as one of the MTV VJs when MTV India started its operations in India. She rose to an interviewer for MTV India, becoming the most prominent non-movie, non-model female in urban India. Arora Khan then entered the modeling world. Her modeling career was equally successful. She appeared in many advertisements as well as cameos for song and item numbers in Bollywood films such as Chaiyya Chaiyya in the film Dil Se.

In 2005, she did another item number, Kaal Dhamaal in the film, Kaal. She also did an item number in Mahesh Babu's Telugu film. In 2007, she did a title song in Heyy Babyy directed by Sajid Khan and another popular song for Om Shanti Om whose director is the sister of Sajid, Farah Khan. In 2008, she did an item number in the film, Welcome with Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor. In 2009 she was a Rishto Ke Parkhi in Star Plus reality show called Lux Perfect Bride along with Shekhar Suman and Amrita Rao.

Arora Khan is married to Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan whom she met during a coffee ad shoot. Together they have a son, Arhaan. Her sister is actress Amrita Arora, and her brothers-in-law are Bollywood actor Salman Khan and actor-director-producer Sohail Khan. Her father-in-law is the famous scriptwriter Salim Khan.
